To mark the end of the year, FILM AUF FILM would like to give the analog scene the opportunity to show their own works on the big screen. It is a place of gathering where the joy of presenting and spectating is the main focus. The event will begin with a screening of the results of this year’s FILM AUF FILM workshops, after which the cinema screen will be open for anyone to show their work.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the foyer of the Filmhaus cinema with drinks. Films and expanded cinema performances can be registered or handed in here for screening. Each person may present one project with a maximum running time of 30 minutes. Works in various stages of completion can be shown, from raw material to finished work, from first attempts to festival hits. The prerequisite is that the films and expanded cinema works are created on analog film material and brought in the following formats: Super8, 16mm, slide projector, and digital as a file (not DCP). The film program will then begin at 8 p.m. with no set end time.

Zum Jahresabschluss möchte FILM AUF FILM der analogen Szene die Chance geben, eigene Werke auf der großen Leinwand zu zeigen. Es handelt sich um einen Ort der Begegnung, bei dem die Freude am Zeigen und Schauen im Vordergrund steht. Zu Beginn werden zunächst die Ergebnisse der diesjährigen FILM AUF FILM Workshops gezeigt, danach steht die Leinwand zur freien Verfügung.
Ab 18 Uhr beginnt die Veranstaltung im Foyer des Filmhaus Kinos mit einem Umtrunk. Hier können die mitgebrachten Filme und Expanded Cinema Performances zur Projektion angemeldet oder abgegeben werden. Jeweils ein Projekt pro Person mit einer max. Spiellänge von 30min. Gezeigt werden Werke in den unterschiedlichsten Stadien, vom Rohmaterial bis zum fertigen Werk, vom ersten Gehversuch bis zum Festivalhit. Voraussetzung ist, dass die Filme und Expanded Cinema auf analogem Filmmaterial entstanden sind und auf folgenden Formaten mitgebracht werden: Super 8, 16mm, Dia-Projector und Digital als Datei (nicht DCP). Das kostenfreie Kurzfilmprogramm beginnt dann ab 20 Uhr mit offenem Ende.
FILM AUF FILM, eine vierteljährliche Veranstaltungsreihe, wird durch die Förderung der Stiftung Kulturwerk der VG BildKunst, des Kulturamts der Stadt Köln und des Ministeriums für Kultur und Wissenschaft (MKW) des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen ermöglicht.
